March 27, 2014. #1. Hello everyone, I have a 1996 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0 V-6, with well over 200,000 miles. During the last 2 year, I have experienced a problem where I can drive the vehicle for months with no problem, then out of the blue, it won't start. I usually can wait about 15 to 30 minutes and then try again and it fires up and
For probably about a year now, we've had a very intermittent issue where during normal driving, the pedal will lose pressure and go to the floor while stopping. It's happened maybe 4-5 times during the past year, and each time the symptoms will last anywhere from a few stops, to a couple days. Afterwards the normal pedal feel will return. 16. Name: Jeffrey. I've had this problem for a few years After putting petrol in the car or just out of the blue the car won't start. The car runs perfect and starts 95% of the time but every say four or five weeks I will get this starting issue.

Same thing happened to me - start button would very often not start the car on the first few attemps. Sometimes it took forever. I brought car into Ford for this issue and a vibration issue. They ordered a new start button which they thought was faulty, but also installed a new TCM to try and fix the vibration.

Short version of whats wrong with the car and important notes: - Mostly heat related starting problem. - The car drives perfectly. - The ECU is not the problem. - Disconnecting the ECT sensor will get the car to start almost 99% reliably although rough starting and sometimes starting then stalling out immediately will occur sometimes. - ECT

RPM fluctuation while idling. I have a 2003 Ford Explorer that hasn't been idling well lately. It normally idles around 800 or 900 rpms, but lately it will slow down to 400 or 500, then burst up to 1100 and repeat the process again. It doesn't do this all the time, maybe only half-time. Occasionally the rpms get so low that the engine dies, but 2008 Ford Focus SE has intermittent starting issues. In July, we purchased a 2008 Ford Focus SE from a private party for our 17-yr old son. Within a week of purchase, the car didn't start. After about 45 minutes the car started. When the car doesn't start, the lights on the dash will come on, the radio works, etc. New Member. 1. On a more serious note how many times has the dealer taken a look at this problem, and have they taken the swQqeE.
