3 days ago · Like most multiplayer-based games, there is a level of privacy available when you decide to host a co-op session in No Man's Sky. So you don't have to worry about randoms forcing their way in if you don't want them. This can be achieved by going into your Network Settings and turning off the option for anyone to join.

It's really getting me down not being able to control things "as normal" in No Man's Sky along with the mind-blowing visual and aural immersion via the PSVR2 helmet. It worked so beautifully in PSVR1 with DualShock as primary.
Open the Run utility by pressing the Windows + R keys on your keyboard. Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. The Device Manager now should be open on your screen. Locate the gamepad driver and right-click on it. Click on the Disable device option and then click on the Yes option on the pop-up dialogue.
What PC controllers would be useable for NMS? Since it was a PS4 Exclusive at first then branched out to PC.. Im wandering if i should get a PS4 controller for the PC? But i hear the controller isnt well optimized for PC. I could be wrong. If not going for the PS4 controller. would the steam controller work well for NMS? Keyboard and mouse would be ok but im looking for a console feel
If you are having gamepad functional issues after a patch that will not resolve itself after PC shut off and on again, here is what fixed mine. I am not using any Steam custom controller settings so, i do not know how it will effect the ones you have setup in Steam through the in game console. Don't know if it will reset them too but, kind of doubt it since that interface is parent inside

No Mans Sky is the only game thats doing this, and all 4 of my Xbox One Elite controllers are doing this. Its NOT a busted controller or the "joystick drift" that SOME controllers get. This is because most games have a dead zone automatically applied (the Xbox One OS does this automatically) and No Mans Sky is choosing to rely solely on Steam
1) A Steam Controller 2) A Microsoft X-bone controller whilst also on Windows 10. Windows 7 used to require a separate controller driver download from M$ to even use 360 controllers; now with Windows 10, X-bone controllers are all plug and play. Note: PS controllers are a PITA is Windows7 to set-up. The throttle lever on your left hand is used to adjust speed, while the right stick is used to control pitch, roll and yaw. With an index you can activate afterburners with the left A button (likely x on the PS4's move controllers), or hit the left back trigger to kick off the Pulse Drive. Those are the basics for No Man’s Sky VR controls.
Whatever is preventing No Man's Sky from launching with WMR, it seems to be related to having the left motion controller turned on. SteamVR cannot detect it or it causes the game to crash, so you need to re-launch SteamVR with the motion controllers turned off. If you turn it on mid-game, the game crashes immediately.
