The Adidas Ultra Boost range currently consists of the Ultra Boost 1.0, Ultra Boost 2.0, Ultra Boost 3.0, and Ultra Boost 4.0, with each model offering a slightly different feel and performance. In this article, we’ll take a look at the differences between the various iterations of the Ultra Boost.
If you liked prior versions of the ultra boost, then you will of course love the UltraBOOST 21. As for running in them, we just can’t recommend it. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad running shoe, but Adidas has way better running shoes in their lineup that are lighter and better overall performers.
The Symmetros just came out and the midsole is a variant of boost. The tread would be great for running on a track or some dirt roads. Also think the rest of the floatride line is great but not the same foam unless you get the Symmetros or Forever Floatride Energy. Those two have the same midsole as boost but a bit firmer and snappier.

Sizing & Fit: I would say the Adidas Ultraboost fit true to size but it depends on the upper. The 1.0 and 2.0 uppers are a bit tighter than 3.0 and 4.0, but it’s not a big difference. I’m the same size in Ultraboosts as I am in Air Jordan 1s, but in Air Force 1s (which fit bigger in my opinion) I take a half-size down.

Adidas says that the Ultraboost 21 is 15% stiffer than the previous version which creates more propulsion. I don’t think the Ultraboost 21 needs the extra propulsion because it’s not designed for fast running. The LEP system in the 21 makes the shoe feel too stiff and clunky. I really like the new outsole design of the Ultraboost 21.

SX395 .jpg. run_mm • 6 yr. ago. I consistently receive feedback that runners find the Adidas Ultra Boost to be one of the most comfortable shoes they've tried. They're shoes for neutral runners with a stable arch, so if that fits your running gait, then they could be a great fit for you.
Go on your next walk around the neighborhood or that weekend run with friends in these Ultraboost DNA shoes. They have a stretchy adidas PRIMEKNIT upper that wraps around your foot so you can move freely. A BOOST midsole returns energy with every step, and the Continental™ Rubber outsole gives you secure traction on wet and dry surfaces. This shoe's upper is made with a high-performance yarn
More energy return meant a shoe that responded to each stride, giving back what you put into your run. In 2015, adidas put their Boost technology to the test: Kenyan long-distance runner Dennis Kimetto ran the Berlin marathon in a shoe with Boost tech. He didn’t just win, he crushed the world record by 26 seconds for a time of 2:02:57. oARcb.
