While PNG can be high resolution, it has no support for the CMYK color space. s format BMP (an abbreviation for bitmap) supports color depths from one-bit (black and white, with no shades of gray) to 32-bit (millions of colors) but lacks support for CMYK. BMP is not appropriate in projects intended for print.
This means that the file size of JPGs will be smaller, but the image quality may not be as good. To export, go to File > Export > Export As. Then select either PNG or JPG from the format menu. Take note of the resolution and compression controls. The options will vary depending on whether you are exporting as PNG or JPG.
That said, we do our best to accept any image format your browser can read. CMYK input gets converted to sRGB. The maximum allowed image size is 1 megapixel, regardless of aspect ratio. Images larger than the size limit will be shrunk to that size. Note that this is pixels, not bytes, and there is currently no image byte size limitation.

In export settings > output I had to use color conversion > convert to CMYK. And got all the colors right in the PDF.
